The winch had the two broken (sheared) 1/4" bolts that hold the shifter yoke on. Also one of the keys that the shift collar slides on was cracked, causing it to bind up when you tried to engage or disengage the shifter. The outboard bearing and crossarm for the main shaft was completely worn out, no chance of fixing. The curved arms that guide the cable were bent, but I was able to use a small 4 ton bottle jack and bend them back into place. VPW had all the parts in stock.
Should work good now.
