If you switch to modern power, ie V8 or diesel and upgrade Tranny/T Case, the output will be centered. Thus you need a centered rear.
Driving a NP-200 off the center output (ebrake drum) will result in quieter operation, cooler T case operation. Thus you need a centered rear.
Centered rear eliminates using two different length axle shafts
Now a Tip. If your going to a centered rear,
be sure you get the Deep rear inspection cover. The shallow cover will NOT clear the 9.625" ring gear. The DEEP covers are very very difficult to find.
