Somewhere, I read a post about a guy who said the lubricant he used ate up the bushings in his winch. That is why I was concerned when I replaced the seal and lubricant in my PW's steering box.
Based upon what I have read since, I don't think it is really a problem with the available lubricants. I guess, if you have an old can of lube containing reactive sulfur, you might have a problem.
