I don't think it is a BMW, definately not Isetta, Amphicar, Sunbeam, or Mercedes.
The closest car resembling is an NSU Sport Prinz which has a similar trim on the front fender line.....and the Sport Prinz body was designed by Bertone, which the emblem looks to be on the side....
stumped and curious to know.....
