You can buy FMJ junk ammo for about the same cost as reloading your own. So unless you are loading for accuracy then it is not worth it anyway. If you are loading for accuracy by the junk stuff go out and blast it away and save all your brass and use it.
Be careful with military stuff, it has a crimped primer and is alot more work to cut that out and have it suitable for commercial reload type primers.
Also be aware that .223 and 556 ammo are not the same thing. If you have a rifle that is spec.ed .223 it should not have 556 ammo shot through it, 556 is slightly lrager in the chamber/throat area(do a google search) so that jamming problems would be reduced in less than desirable conditions. .223 chambers are tighter and designed for sammi specs and better accuracy.
