That's a new one to me -- brake light switches made with diaphragms that are soluble in brake fluid. I wonder what genius bean-counter came up with that money-saving idea. I still can't see it causing a fire -- just turning the lights on and running the battery down. I've had pedal-mounted switches do that when their flimsy parts get bunged up and stuck.
