Back in the fall I posted about a problem I was having with my old Blackhawk four ton (S4) jack.
The saddle would not go down under its own weight when the handle end nut was released.
I got it fixed recently. I called the Blackhawk on-line parts place in Chatanooga, TN, and the man there told me to turn it on its side and slightly loosen the packing nut at the end of the hydraulic cylinder that surrounds the shaft. He also said to lubricate, with WD-40 or similar, the shaft. I did that and it works fine now.
BTW he has rebuild kits for all of the old Blackhawks, it appears.
