Any full auto weapon must have a class 3 licens with tax stamp. You can own simi auto with out license/tax stamp. As long as the barrel is over 18'' long. Shorter than that must have paper work. doesnt matter how old the rife is. Must be very carfull. MUST have paper work. Any full auto weapon without paper work is BIG NO NO!!!! Be safe. ALso some states have different laws.Stop by your local Gun Shop and ask.
