Those were some tough old trucks. Reminds me of the old IH Travellalls we had at the college I attended. I drove many of them on long trips in the late 60's-early 70's. I remember the old V8 would really get them down the road, even when pulling a heavy trailer loaded with camping gear.
The IH trucks of that vintage were really prone to electrical problems. The fuse panel was located in the glove box in the travellalls. On many weekend field trips, we made it home only by replacing fuses with wads of aluminum foil, as we were cruising at warp speed down the interstate late on a Sunday night.
