I assume they mean WDX-WM300 model Power-Wagon. But you should know where assuming gets you.
As far as the words "power wagon" on the side of the hood - people call WWII Dodge trucks, M37 model trucks, and even 2WD Dodge trucks "power Wagon", so who am I to say they are not talking about a WC52? The fenders on that truck are no more or less flat than those of a WDX-WM300 and that model is commonly referred to as a Power-Wagon, again in the generic sense, so there you go. I give them the benefit of the doubt, but since they are using a generic slang term, who really knows what vehicle they are talking about without quizzing them to narrow it down?
As confusing as it is to me listening to it now, I do remember how much more confusing it was when I was just starting out and did not know the difference between the trucks. We did not have the advantage of a catch-all term to cover up our confusion.
So, I wonder, are the new enthusiasts who are using the term today as confused as much, or even more so, than I was, and are those who have been in the hobby long enough to know the difference really helping those newer people by perpetuating the slang?
Did that clear it up? ;^)
