Morning Jim;
Welcome to the forum. You will be very happy with a Cummins B3.9. Awesome power and yet great MPG. I really cant add much to what Bruce in BC shared. Its really a matter of looking and letting it be known your looking for a Cummins. They are getting harder to find as they are popular for swaps. Prices are all over the board. Some reasonable, some out of sight. Honestly, its a sellers market, sellers know the popularity of the B3.9. Be very careful in what you buy. Make sure its a automotive engine, not a industrial version.
Click on the highlighted link below. It will take you to my Image Event site. All my Cummins conversions in my Power Wagon, M37, WC53 Carryall and Power Giant W300 are documented in pictures/text. Something like 40 other albums dealing with our old iron.
If you would like to discuss what your getting into, email me and we can set up a phone call. There is to much info to share that can be done in a email or forum.
Paul
