I've been debating with myself (I almost always win) about how to solve the problem of my short stature versus the just-out-of-reach height of my running boards. Before the jokesters get going I will NOT use a step-ladder or stool. I've been considering either a late CJ2A ('47-'49) step plate attached to and under the board or a cable and plate stirrup attached in the same manner. I assume that the cable ends must be welded to a top plate via drilled holes and mounted with carriage bolts and spacers to the board. What do ya'll think.
