I dont know why dodge lost the contract in 67 for the M37s but the Kaiser 1.25 ton that replaced it was such POS the military only bought them for 2 years. there is no comparison in the real world between a jeep and a Dodge. peeps are disposable things you drop out of planes. dodges last until not needed, and that have proven to mean at least a couple wars. I have even seen film of WC 63s in the vietnam conflict.
