The diamond-shaped adapter that allows you to pivot the carb 90 degrees is not used or needed with this later style flat-top carb. The only variation from my photo is that some trucks have these later carbs mounted with the 1/2" spacer block between the governor and the carb rather than between the manifold and the governor as shown in my photo.
