Thanks to Paul's (in NY) coaxing and assistance, I have decided to re-wire and convert to 12v with an alternator. I spent 3 or 4 hours cutting and pulling the old wiring, and my truck is now state of the art, wireless.
We have been wiring custom homes with wireless, multi-station switching systems for a few years. Basically transmitters and receivers. Imagine how nice that would be.
