When I was in the market for a new knife, I went to the Bass Pro Shop and found that the vast majority of Bucks they had in stock were made in China. I went home and tried to find out what happened.
It turns out that they were formally based in San Diego, and the business atmosphere there made them decide to outsource some of their production to China. Since then, they have moved their operation to Idaho and are thriving once again.
The plan for the future is to bring all production back to the US. Possibly Pennsylvania is a part of that plan. I don't know.
