I took 1080 pounds of scrap to the junk yard today. So I must have saved 3500 pounds?
I cut the crossmembers out, saved the body as two sides, door frames l&r, doors, front clip, transfer case, engine and tranny, running boards, all the brackets...
I got $35, plus a stainless steel pool filter to use as a fermentation vessel for my other hobby.
Saved the engine- it turns over with a hand crank. I tried one spark plug at a time, !&2 have compression. I guess I'll pull the head this week, see if it is stuck valves? blown head gasket?
Tranny is a 420, I like. And the clutch freed up too- I guess the throw out brg was stuck to the nose, took a pretty good push to make it release. But output turns easily, with a bit of swooshing noise- disc was NOT rusted to the flywheel. pto works too.

MU-2 is in Tijuana, If Tim has another U-jt I'll be good to go! ;)
