look at the distance from the top of the tire the bottom of the wheel well on the fender. The 100-200 wells are cut high for additional clearance, while the 300 is cut "lower", as the 300 rides higher on a straight frame. Putting the 300 fender on a 200 won't really look right. The filler panel is used on the 300 and up series because the ride height due to the straight frame.
There have been a few Forced Entry W200 built with a modified W500 fender, but without the flap/flare.
