Once it has been running, so the bowl is full of gas, remove the air cleaner, open the choke, look down inside, and work the throttle, You should see a squirt of fuel, not a dribble. Look careflly, is is clear and hard to see.
The point of the accelerator pump is that when you pop open the throttle, a big gulp of air goes in, without any gas, making a bog or flat spot. A squirt of gas eliminates that lean spot.
