It looks like he kept the front axle in the same position relative to the firewall, leaving the wheelbase unaltered.

My approach would be (and is in the attached photo)to maintain the front axle and wheel in its original position relative to the radiator, not the firewall. This means extending the wheel base. I think this is more attarctive than having the front hang out so far. It will also help distribute the extreme weight of the 6bt, and not have some much bearing down on the front axle.

You can use the original mounting on the front of the front fender and modify the rear bracket. Then you the only sheetmetal you have to fabricate is longer running boards and longer hood panels.

I chose to use longer M37 springs with the spring shackel in the rear.

You can use a helitool power steering brakcet and a lengthened drag link.
