Before Connecting the battery:
12.6 Volts at the Battery
After connecting the Battery and turning on the Key:
12.5 Volts at the Battery
12.1 Volts on the Battery (B) Terminal of the Regulator
0 Volts on the Generator (G) Terminal of the Regulator
0 Volts on the Field (F) Terminal of the Regulator
(Same reading at the Generator G & F terminals)
Engine Running at high idle (Note reading bounced):
15.2 Volts at the Battery
16.1 Volts at the Regulator B Terminal
16.4 Volts at the Regulator G Terminal
12.5 Volts at the Regulator F Terminal
(Same reading at the Generator G & F terminals)
The Regulator is a Delco-Remy, and the knobs didn't turn with any easy, so I left them alone.
When started the Amp Gauge was bouncing around 20 amps.
When I shut the truck off the Amp Gauge was bouncing around 8 amps.
Based on what I'm seeing it may just be normal correct charging actions on a lead acid battery just shy of fully charged?
Thanks for all the help!
Will
