My son's best friend escaped a fire unharmed at 4:00 this morning. Home alone, woke up to a room full of smoke, hit the floor and crawled out, downstairs and out the door. In 30 minutes the house was gone. Very lucky his mom and brother were not home, and none of his friends including my son were there. They spend time there often overnight since it's a nice log cabin in a rural area. Please clean your chimneys. He was very fortunate to wake up and get out.
