Gear Vendors ODs are REALLY expensive, as mentioned. A Ranger overdrive is about $1000 cheaper and might just fit in front of a NP420. There are some driveline places in Calif. and Ariz. that can build ultra short drivelines with splines actually through the yoke itself. To me regular big helical gears instead of planetary gears is an advantage, not a disadvantage. The Ranger retails for $1500. Both NP540s and Clark 280VOs are retail priced at $1800 professionally rebuilt when one can find them at truck drivetrain jobbers. These will definitely fit in a PW or M37. The NV4500 will only fit with a married NP205.
