Fairfield is the home of hundreds of Transcendental Meditationalists, aka "floaters" by some of the locals.
These folks bought out a local college that failed. Have you levitated a Ford lately ?
Other than the TM aspect Fairfield is Mayberry, with some small tech startups courtesy of the TM folks.
