My truck had only the front halfs, and while they were straight, they had a couple of worn spots.
I made a new set of running boards that look pretty stock. I bought a 4 x 8 sheet of 0.125" diamond plate, 2 lengths of 1.25" (IIRC) steel pipe and 20' of light gauge 5/8" angle. Cut the correct profile on the diamond plate, keeping the straight edges for the outsides.
Weld pipe and angle iron to make a reasonable facsimile of the original. Paint and install. ( built heavier mounts as a couple of my existing mounts had some weakness from rust.)
Now you have *heavy* one piece runing boards for a pittance that can take heavies like me and will outlast the rest of the truck.
