I may be over simplifying this, but why not just put a voltage reducer in the hot lead to the plow? I got one for my M-37 to power the C.B. radio and a few other 12volt items. It's a clean set-up mounted on the battery box. I'm not pulling a huge amp. load through mine though.
Just a thought.
