According to "How to Rebuild Small-Block Mopar Engines" from HP Books ISBN 0-89586-128-3 ($17.95), on the 340/360, the REAR DRIVER'S SIDE motor mount ears cast into the block were moved forward 3/8" from their position on the 273/318. So, a driver's side motor mount is needed.
This is a good book for anyone who has an LA engine to have. Has an interchange section and lots of specs.
