Gin Pole Construction

I need to (re)construct a gin pole for my '56 PW which seems to have had one before. Anyone have any thoughts on steel to use, length, angle, and best anchors for guy lines? I need to lift 2000-3000 lbs or so off of a flatbed truck every once in a while.
