The standard paint scheme was black fenders, headlight (including headlight doors), running boards, tail light(s) & bracket, cowl lights (in years so equipped) and on the first series bed the small filler "corner" at the front of the bed. I saw 5 new WM300's (in early the 1960's) at a dealership (the same one where my Dad purchased the 1948 B1PW that I now own) and they were painted solid yellow. I asked F.D. Forester (the man who owned the dealership) and he said they were a "custom" paint order from the factory. F.D probably sold almost 50 WM300's in 1968 alone. All of them were solid yellow and all for the same customer (Pike Electric of Mount Airy, NC). I now own 2 of these 1968 WM300's in addition to the 4 others (the above mentioned '48, a 1955 C3PW, a 1965 WM300, and a 1967 WM300. (I just wish I could take $4,000, turn back the time clock to 1968 and buy a NEW WM300)!!!
