There are two different PTO's for the older PW's. Do you have a one gear (7/8 shaft) or two gear (7/8 and 1.0325 shafts). If yours is a one gear you will need a 1/4 inch plate between your tranny and PTO, if the PTO will match the cluster gear of your NP420.
