...And make sure the lights themselves are well grounded. Casebro has the right idea on how to test. You can use a jump from the battery to the wire leading to the lights also to test the wiring and lights, then you will know if its the lights. Then run the wire from the battery to one side of the pressure switch and connect the other to the lights to check the switch (this assumes you have fluid and the brakes are bled so you get pressure in the master cylinder). If it all works up to this point, now hookup the original wire to the pressure switch and try. This tests the power into the switch which may not be working either. Good luck.
