Bottom Line - If you drive at high speeds or subject your truck to heavy loads (Hard pulling by the engine), your gonna need hardened seats/valves at some point. The 230 has cast iron exhaust seats. These are going to wear! Additives will help but are no substitution for upgraded equipment.
