The M37 is a far more capable off road truck than the WDX/WM300. It is not frame flex, but softer suspension that allows more articulation on the M37. This also contributes to the M37 riding a bit softer than the WDX/WM300. The M37 also has a much shorter wheelbase, which allows a tighter turning radius and more manuverability off road. Parts are usually easy to come by. Opinions vary, but I prefer the military look, so I prefer the looks of the M37 over the WDX/WM300.

The WDX/WM300 is a far better work truck. It can haul larger objects in its bed, which is longer than the M37. The springs will take more load, at the expense of ride comfort and articulation. It is the most rugged looking civilian truck - ever - due to the military lineage.

It boils down to what fits into your style preference, work expectation, budget and off road needs.

The M37 fits the latter two the best.

The WDX/WM300 fits the work needs the best.

Either fits the styling, depending on what you want.

One last point - with the exception of the M601 style PW, the M37 is a ragtop and is real nice for summer cruising. The WDX/WM300 is a closed cab. The fabric top is also cooler in hot climates, but much colder in winter (which is why spendy hardtops were made). I don't know if all this is important or not to you. The M37 is like a Jeep on steroids.
