Rest assured that if the M37 were built today it would be shod with Michelin military radials, either 9.00 or 11.00R16 size. They have a tremendous load capacity (the 9.00s are rated at 3750 lb at high speed and 4675 for slower speeds) and are all steel construction. The French build a truck called the ACMAT VLRA series in 4X4 and 6X6 which are like M37s on growth hormones. They come with 6 cyl Perkins diesels and Michelin 12.5R20s.
I think a M37 or even WW2 military vehicle, or a Power Wagon looks very military/original with Michelin XLs or XZLs. Most any army that still uses either M37s or PW derivatives is using these tires. The only drawback of Michelin militaries is cost. I noticed the letters after your name, you probably can afford them.
