I recently picked up a Power Wagon and find some confusing data regarding the correct year.
The door post plate indicates it is a B3PW-I26, VIN 83929121, 9500 GVW...so it should be a 1952/53 BUT.....
Using The Dodge Pickup Book by D. Bunn & T Brownell, "Model Year Improvements", I find the following;
Speedo is in front of stearing wheel, 4 gauges are centered in dash
The truck is 12 volts, all bulbs and starter
(MDM-6002 8M244829) Gen/alternator is missing 12 volt option 1956
4 blade fan 1950
Carb and volicty Gov sandwitch 1952
Vac Booster Brakes (looks Factory) 1957
Date code on Tranny 1-26-56
Starter on floor above gas pedal
I can not find any model # on the tranny, laying in the snow at 4 degrees. Where is it located.
Mabey in the trucks life there was a cab change ?? Is there any other place on the frame that carries the VIN ?
Thanks for youy help and a Very Merry Christmas to all
Paul
