I use 'marine type' short fibre grease. You can get it at any good parts house, NAPA, Carquest, etc. It may be 'blue' in color, but it won't mix with moisture & water. After you insert the inner axle, pack the housing full as you install the connector pieces and the outer shaft. It will last several years under normal usage. Happy holidays!
