im rebuilding an engine that i think is out of 50 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive. the guys here tell me this a 218 not a 230 that i need. if i swap crank do i need to swap rods. i found a plate riveted to block that says (FOR PARTS SPECIFY MODEL 232 see replacement engine parts list for explanation of model) what does this mean i am lost. is this a 230 or 218? what is the stroke for both engines? what horsepower difference will there be? thanks im lost!!!
