I know some would say I don't do it the correct way but it has worked for me for years. I have the Monarch Pump that straps onto the generator. I use a longer single belt. It took a few trips to the auto parts to get just the right length. I have never had any slipping problems with the pump, generator,or water pump. And yes I use a mechanical fuel pump----no electric fuel pump for this old billy.
