Of course the rich can always go to the US if they want immediate state-of-the-art treatment for their own very special rare disease. I hear in Israel those with the money go to Cyprus to get good organ transplants with the organs bought from poor Turks. Where there's capitalism, there's a way around any system, for those with the money, and those with the money will always get better care than those without. Even the Arab oil sheiks come to the US for their treatment. Our system's great at treating the high-end stuff really well. It's just not very good for the average ordinary guy with the average ordinary injury or disease that any competent doctor anywhere could treat. A friend of mine got pneumonia and it turned into a $100K bill by the time they were done.
