Careful opening them. I did stabilize this year, meaning killed the yeast. but they might have turned into 'champagne'. Less sweetness, plus carbonation.

Wine is easier than beer, no cooking, just prep the fruit. And though few neighbors give away any malted barley, everybody will give away the fruit from their urban trees.
And wild fruit is good too, berries, crab apples. Plums, peaches,prickly pear. Veggies too, like melons or pumpkins.
