Scouts were the vehicle that got me interested in 4x4s. I remember we had a horrible ice storm and the road was a solid sheet of ice me and my brother couldn't even walk up the hill in front of my parents house well the neighbor across the street had to go to work, well I would have bet anything he couldn't get up the hill but you know the story.
I am currently restoring a 1974 scout 2 with 37K miles with a amc 6, 3speed and d44 axles. They sure do have thin sheet metal and rust easily though.
