Assuming it's a diesel. I have a 2-cyl 5500W Onan diesel generator and it's been a real good one. A contractor gave it to me for free because it had one burned piston after much use and abuse in Alaska. I had to pay $300 just for a piston, which about killed me, and probably had $500 in it by the time it was done, but it'll run all day on 5 gal of fuel and will power the table saw, lights, and a Skil saw at the same time. There's a military generator that's basically the same thing.
