There are three slightly different V6s, the 225, the 3.8L odd fire, and the 3.8L even fire. Flywheels and distributors have to match the crank. Flywheels can be re-balanced to suit some swaps. Otherwise, junk yard Buick engines are bolt-ins. Maybe even v8s?

I think 231 is the later 3.8? Even or odd though?
