I was surprised our "new" trolley didn't have a fuel gauge, but then I asked around and found that most of the time city buses don't have fuel gauges. They know their routes and their fuel consumption very well and they fuel them when they come back to the base. I never hear of a city bus running out of gas so I guess that system works.
