Well, I haven't had any luck whatsoever locating the former or current owner of this '57, so I have a few questions (I'm still debating about stock or mod, but I'll get to that in another post).
That truck is sitting on a 3/4-ton chassis- would that be a W200 or W300?
Could I put a FFPW body on, say, a '72-93 chassis as easily? I'm a fan of disc brakes and Dana 60/70 rears, so that seems better than four-wheel drums. The only thing I'd think was different from the older chassis would be the shift levers for hi/low and PTO.
I've had some great input concerning newer ('94 and up) swaps, but I was wondering about older ones as well. I think my ideal driver would be that '57, sporting a 440 and four-wheel discs, power steering, etc.
I heard somewhere that there was an article about a guy who did a body swap with a 426 wedge and NV4500, but I've never found it.
What do you guys think?
