Off-topic question regarding Duramax diesels

Does anyone know if the Duramax engine would fit in a vehicle (a motor home) originally equipped with a GM 7.4 engine?

Obviously, there are other space issues (intake, exhaust, etc) but I'm wondering about the basic question of how large one is compared to the other.
