Colonel Hunter Reinberg. He told me he ditched seven times in the Pacific. Better to land on the water and step off the wing than to jump. He's the guy who took his plane captain for a flight, in combat, sitting on his lap in a Corsair. He was flying a Cherokee when I went up with him, so I had my own seat. .
He wrote his own book "The True Combat Aerial Escapades of Colonel J. Hunter Reinberg, USMC Ret"
