Original 318ci engine. Rebuilt with upgrades (electronic ignition, etc.). The engine was basically rebuilt with three things in mind. To run on modern fuel, get better mileage, and more horsepower. High speed balanced, forged pistons, chrome molly rings, stainless steel valves and hard faced seats.

The Weiand manifold wasn't too hard to find and the carb is an Edelbrock/ Weber with manuel choke.

There where some things I just couldn't change. Although the front bumper is the original you can obviously tell that I changed it a little. This was due in part to negotiating parking, and I once got a nasty charlie horse from it when my knee caught the inside. The cab was still a work in progress. I had the seat upholstered with heavy duty vinyl, like that found on city buses.

The steering gear is also new. A Gemmer worm and roller steering gear. Oh, and I do have a set of door panels as well.

The inside of the bed does show signs of use, of course, but there is mostly surface rust and very little rust eating through.

The transmission that you see in the photo is in fact the one that was in it when I got the truck. Among the parts that came with it when I got it was another one which I rebuilt and replaced the the one I was using. The transfer case has been rebuilt as well.

There is only one original drive shaft and that's the one to the front axle. The tranny to transfer shaft got twisted whilst pulling a horse trailer full of horses up a steep hill and the tail shaft while going about ninety mph on I-80 through Vacaville. Yes, it made a lot of noise but no damage.

Of the extra parts that I have are parts for the doors, small parts for the motor, electrical, and a new windshield. I also have the original radiator which was replaced by a larger capacity one. I simply hate overheating.

I did a little a experimenting on possibly making headers for it but decided that that would be better if someone who had the equipment and know how should do. I also was in the process of fitting an extra fuel tank on it. Since Dodge saw fit to put a hole in the cab for the two wheel drive gas tank on this as well. I got the brackets for two wheel drive tank and had to change the size and shape of it, the pattern that I made of it will fit. Just a new gas tank has to be made.

PTO winch, new windshield, and extra parts. $7,000 obo.
