I have hypothyroidism. It was diagnosed when I got a routine blood test about 6 or 7 years ago. (I am 57). I never noticed that I had any symptoms.
It is no big deal. You take an inexpensive pill every morning. The pill makes up for the hormone your thyroid is not producing.
My doctor told me if there is any disease you would want to have this is it, because it is so easily treated.
