I would call US Blanks
P.O. Box 486

Phone: (310) 225-6774
Fax: (310) 225-6922
and ask them if they sell or what epoxy resin they recommend for surfboards
surfboard manufactures are on the forefront of epoxy resins as far as durability uv protection ets.
The local stuff I get here is made by Reichold chemical and they have a 1 to 1 table(casting resin) self leveling uv protected resin. It is very slow and doesn't seem to quite get hard enough as you think you would want but I have noticed that over time it gets harder, but that may be by design since it is a table resin and you may want to have a little flex
Then they have a 4 to 1 laminating resin which is faster and gets harder but goes yellow with time.
I make my own by using the table resin and catalyst but add a little of the 4 to 1 laminating catalyst to the table catalyst and still use it as a 1 to 1 this speeds up the reaction time and it gets super hard like poliester for surfboards.
I have also used it using the table resin one part table resin catalyst(which is 1 to 1) and mix that with the same amount of laminating catalyst( which is a 4 to 1 mix normally) and then I use that mix as a two two to one making an even faster resin.
